We are extremely pleased to announce the release of Walter Klassen's remote Carbon Head. Made of polished carbon fiber, the Carbon Head weighs only 39 lbs, but is robust enough to carry full size cameras up to 85 lbs. Even with a heavy camera, the Carbon Head can still pan through 180 degrees in 2 seconds. Precision machining and powerful gearing give the Carbon Head very smooth motion with negligible backlash.

The Carbon Head utilizes a digital closed-loop servo system with electronic gearing. Pan and Tilt actuators precisely follow the position of the encoder hand wheels according to a gear ratio which can be adjusted to suit the user's preference. The touch screen on the wheel box allows the operator to make gearing selections, adjust smoothing and program travel limits. If wheels aren't your thing, ask about the available joystick control.

To make mounting as easy as possible, the Carbon Head comes with a standard Mitchell mounting plate. The wireless receiver and servo drive electronics are fully contained within the carbon body of the head. Simply connect external 24 Volt power and you're ready to shoot!
